MOODS + REFLECTIONS

welcome

When I decided to start Moodscape, I thought I had come up with the term myself.  A quick Google search proved that I had not, but the definition was exactly what I had hoped the dreamy word would mean.  I believe moods and life experiences are inexorably intertwined. With this blog, I hope to collect feelings, ideas, and musings that reflect the experience of life, from concrete subjects related to health and wellness, to the more abstract facets of life and accompanying states of mind.

I have always had a wide array of interests and felt stuck trying to come up with one general topic to write about.  Telling my best friend this, she immediately came up with the idea for a “mood blog.” Moodscape encapsulates all that I could possibly be interested in and allows for the fluidity of research (in a loose sense), self-reflection, and creative endeavor, strung together by the undulating moods each one evokes.

Moodscape is defined by Lexico (powered by Oxford) as “A depiction or evocation in words, music, etc. of complex moods or feelings.”
